Visitors take a self-guided art walk to eight sites that highlight the introduction of arts in Monterey. The tour explores Monterey's paintings, sculpture, photographs, stained glass, murals and fiber arts.
The 'Rec Trail' as it is known locally takes visitors between Monterey and Pacific Grove. Several modes of transport are used on the trail including bicycles, roller-skates and four-wheeled surreys seating up to six. Joggers and walkers are also frequent users.
